    Vacate Your Hostels Tuesday,TASUED Tells Students

    The management of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) in Ijagun, Ogun State, has directed all students to vacate their hostels and the academic environment by Tuesday, July 30, 2024. 

    PLATFORM TIMES reports that the  directive follows the conclusion of the second semester examinations for the 2023/2024 academic session, which ended on Monday, July 29, 2024.

    It was also gathered that the  decision to close the hostels marks the commencement of the end-of-session holiday for students. 

    In a statement issued by Mr. Dapo Oke, the Registrar and Secretary to the Council,the university’s authorities insisted  that all students must leave the hostels and the academic premises by the specified date. 

    The statement also stated that  the  resumption date for the new academic session will be announced once the University Senate approves the new academic calendar.

    The statement read further that the university advised parents and guardians to ensure their wards comply with the directive and return home accordingly. 

    “The University Management has approved the end of session holiday for the 2023/2024 Academic Session.

    “This is sequel to the second semester examinations for the 2023/2024 session ending on  Monday 29th, July 2024.

    “The holiday would commence on Tuesday 30th July, 2024, while the resumption date would be announced later as soon as the University Senate approves the new academic calendar. 

    “All students are by this notice enjoined to vacate all hostels on campus and Academic Environment by Tuesday 30th July, 2024.

     

    “Parents and Guardians are advised to recall their wards back home accordingly. 

     

    “The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Oluwole Banjo, FWISON, FASN, FAIMP, dfisn wishes all students a peaceful and rewarding holiday.” the statement stated.
