There are strong indications that Vice President Kashim Shettima will visit Ogun State to commission a state-of-the-art Agro Chemical Plant.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the facility, constructed by Springfield Agro Limited, a subsidiary of the Kewalram Chanrai Group (KCG), is located in the Owode/Sagamu area along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
According to the statement by the company, the commissioning ceremony which is scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 11 AM, will feature, Kashim Shettima, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as the chief guest.
He will be warmly received by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, who will serve as the host for the event.
In a brief statement, Springfield Agro Limited expressed that this investment represents a significant milestone for Ogun State, promising to generate employment opportunities and enhance agricultural productivity across Nigeria.
By locally manufacturing agrochemicals that were previously imported, the plant aims to reduce foreign exchange costs, contributing to the nation’s economic sustainability.
The commissioning is expected to draw attention from key stakeholders in agriculture and industry, showcasing the plant’s advanced technologies and its potential to revolutionize agricultural practices in the region.
