The Ogun State chapter of The Muslim Congress (TMC) has described their feeling on the passing of Prince Abdul-Jabar Bola Ajibola saying they are excited that he left the world with countless Sadakat Jariya.
This was made known in a statement obtained by PLATFORM TIMES on Monday, signed and stamped by Dr. AbdulRazaq Ogunmoye
Wali, for The Muslim Congress (TMC), Ogun State.
The Muslim community explained that his “Sadakat jariya” refers to “a continuous charity that accumulates endless reward till the day of resurrection.”
The group received the news of the passing of Prince Ajibola with mixed feelings going by his exceptional contributions to the progress of Islam, development of Nigeria and making the world peaceful.
The statement reads in part: “The Ogun State chapter of The Muslim Congress (TMC) received the news of the passing of Prince Abdul-Jabar Bola Ajibola with mixed feelings going by his exceptional contributions to the progress of Islam, development of Nigeria and making the world peaceful.
“We are excited that he left this world with countless Sadaqat Jariya that will continue to be endless reward for him till the Day of reckoning. As a pioneer of the first Islamic University in Nigeria, all the values the establishment of such Universities are adding to Muslim community in Nigeria and across the world will continue to be added to his good deeds.
“The impact of the Islamic Mission for Africa (IMA) which he established is another testimony of his contributions to the spiritual and moral development of peoples lives.
“The Muslim Community has really loss a pillar of its support, unity and progress. It will be a great task for us to come close to his unique contributions and sustain his legacy. We acknowledge his consistent financial, moral and material support to the success recorded by the TMC over the years.”
As an Islamic organization based in Ogun State, Dr AbdulRazaq Ogunmoye, the Wali of The Muslim Congress (TMC), expressed deep sadness and joined the rest of the nation in mourning the loss of this esteemed figure.
He said Prince Bola Ajibola, a prominent Nigerian lawyer, jurist, and statesman, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of immense contributions to Nigeria and the Muslim community in the country.
“Prince Bola Ajibola was a man of great wisdom, integrity, and vision. He was a respected figure in the legal profession and a beacon of hope for many Muslims in Nigeria,” said Dr AbdulRazaq Ogunmoye.
“Prince Bola Ajibola’s outstanding contributions to the legal profession, both nationally and internationally, were recognized, as he was the first African to be elected as the President of the International Court of Justice and also served as the Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“His passion for justice and the rule of law was evident in the various roles he played throughout his career,” added Dr AbdulRazaq Ogunmoye.
Apart from his legal achievements, Prince Bola Ajibola was also known for his dedication to his faith.
“He was a devout Muslim who dedicated much of his life to the service of Allah and the Muslim community in Nigeria. He was a strong advocate for the promotion of Islamic values and ethics, and his life serves as an inspiration to many Muslims in the country,” stated Dr AbdulRazaq Ogunmoye.
The Muslim Congress (TMC) extends heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and associates of Prince Bola Ajibola.
“We pray that Allah grants them the strength to bear this loss and that Prince Bola Ajibola finds a place in Jannah, in the company of the righteous. May Allah bless his soul and grant him eternal peace.”
