Pastor of Christ Word and Prayer Life International Ministry, Pastor Tolulope Taiwo, has urged Nigerians to wish the Nigerian President-elect well regardless of religion.
Reacting to the criticisms that have trailed Pastor Adeboye’s statement that Nigeria will prosper in Tinubu’s hands”, Pastor Tolulope stated that nothing is wrong with the statement of the man of God, noting that Tinubu has already been declared as president-elect of the country by the INEC.
The gospel broadcaster who is also popularly known as Pastor Tee made this stand during an Interview with PLATFORM TIMES, reiterating the need to support the incoming administration no matter the religion.
His words, “I don’t see anything wrong with the statement from the man of God, since Tinubu has been declared the winner by the INEC as the President-elect of Nigeria.
“There is no need for anyone to show any form of injustice to the statement except otherwise happens tomorrow, but as of today, Tinubu is the president-elect and he is the one people are looking forward to making a lot of changes in Nigeria.”
“Should Adeboye say anything contrary to that statement, they will call him a prophet of doom and say he is bringing religious sentiment into the matter.
“Whoever is a leader in Nigeria today must be wished well regardless of religion. Once he has been declared winner, everyone must rally around him to support him with prayer since he is declared as the winner, and hopefully awaiting inauguration. So, God can use anyone to do anything that he wishes,” he said.
Pastor Adeboye had earlier proclaimed during a program that Nigeria will prosper under the Tinubu administration if God helps him.
The Pastor’s words were delivered by his Special Assistant, Pastor Dele Balogun, who spoke at the monthly Thanksgiving service at the RCCG Headquarters in Ebute-Metta.
He said: “Let us pray for the incoming government that God will support it and give it the Grace to do the right thing.
“Thank God the President-elect has promised to fix Nigeria. If God helps him, Nigeria will prosper in his hands.”
Following the proclamation that the President-elect, Bola Tinubu will fix Nigeria with God’s help, netizens have responded with varying degrees of reactions.
The varying reactions that trailed the man of God’s statement included criticisms and indifference as his message was interpreted by the anxious citizens given the May 29th swearing-in ceremony.
