    Woman needs N1.8m for cancer treatment, seeks assistance

    A woman identified as Mrs Adewole Taiwo Florence is seeking financial assistance from the Ekiti State Government and well-meaning Nigerians for cancer treatment.

    This was contained in a letter addressed to the Office of the Wife of the Governor, signed by Dr. Abiyere O.H, Consultant General at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti.

    According to the letter, Florence, who is 34-years-old, with hospital number 110868, is a known patient with a case of recurrent right breast cancer.

    “She has been under our care for sometime now, however, she has not been regular on treatment required due to financial constraint. Hence the need to solicit for financial assistance for care.




    “The breakdown of care is as follows: Surgery = N250,000, Chemotherapy = N300,000, Radiotherapy = N850,000 and Miscellaneous = N400,000 amounting to a total of N1,800,000.
