The Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) has addressed those trending the #TinubuTheDrugDealer on Twitter as ‘sons of bitches’.
Irked by the trend, the PCC Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga took to his Twitter saying users of the hashtag will face wrath of the law for defaming the president-elect.

He tweeted: “All those sons of bitches tweeting the hashtags #TinubuTheDrugDealer and #TinubuForPrison, your days are numbered. One day, you will face the wrath of law and God for tweeting malicious falsehood about Nigeria’s President-Elect.”
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that some of the tweets that provoked the response from the Media Director include a tweet from a verified Twitter account ‘well-meaning Nigerian @a_little_god.
In a post that had 157k views and 2,322 Retweets, the user wrote, “As Nigerians, we reject having a DRUG LORD/KINGPIN as president. ❌️❌️❌️ #TinubuForPrison #TinubuTheDrugDealer.”
Another tweep identified as ‘Toluwani (LP) #FreeChude @T_akinpade wrote, “Not in our time that Pablo Escobar will become the President of the most populous black nation. #TinubuTheDrugDealer #TinubuForPrison.”
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the trend began just days after the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, submitted his petition on Tuesday to cancel the election that brought Tinubu in as president-elect in the 25th February poll.
It was gathered that Obi claimed in his suit that the election was marred by many anomalies, including the non-qualification of the APC candidate.
He asserts that Tinubu’s forfeiture of funds to the US government due to a drug trafficking allegation is proof that the former governor of Lagos State broke the law and should be disqualified from holding public office in Nigeria.
