• Olaosebikan, Tunji, Babalola, Sadare get key roles

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has constituted his campaign media and publicity team ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The campaign organisation announced the appointment of veteran journalists and communication professionals to key positions in what it described as an effort to strengthen its media visibility, strategic communication and public engagement.
The appointments were contained in a statement issued by the candidate’s Media Consultant, Dare Adekanmbi, and made available to journalists on Thursday.
A former South-West Bureau Chief of The Nation newspaper, Bisi Oladele, was appointed Director of Media and Publicity, while former Chief Press Secretary to the late Oyo State Governor, Lam Adesina, Kehinde Olaosebikan, was named Director of Strategic Communication.
Another veteran journalist and former Special Adviser to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Communication and Strategy, Bolaji Tunji, was appointed Director of Public Affairs.
The immediate past Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State Council, Ademola Babalola, will serve as Deputy Director, while the Oyo State APC Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, was appointed Secretary of the media and publicity team.
According to the statement, the team also includes other media and communication professionals, including Ayotunde Olude, who will contribute to the campaign’s communication and publicity activities.
Oladele, who has more than 25 years of experience in journalism and public relations, was until his latest appointment the Executive Editor of Newspeak Media and Chairman of the South-West Guild of Online Publishers.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (English) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and a Master’s degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan. He is also concluding a PhD programme in Political Communication at Lead City University, Ibadan.
Olaosebikan, a veteran media practitioner, previously served as Chief Press Secretary to the late Governor Lam Adesina, while Tunji served as Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
The campaign organisation said the appointments were designed to bolster media visibility, strategic communication, public engagement and information management as the APC candidate prepares for the 2027 governorship contest.
