The Imole Progressive Network has thrown its weight behind the senatorial ambition of Chief (Engr.) Michael Abayomi Adeyanju, popularly known as Imole, urging residents of Ondo North to support his expected bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
A member of the group, Ayedogbon Ayodele, in a statement made available to journalists, said Adeyanju had emerged as a preferred choice among constituents seeking responsive and people-oriented representation at the National Assembly.
Ayodele noted that the district had long yearned for a leader who understands the needs of the grassroots and remains accessible to the people, adding that Adeyanju’s leadership style reflects those expectations.
According to him, the engineer-turned politician has continued to gain traction across communities in Ondo North due to his engagement with residents and commitment to inclusive governance.
He said, “The demand across Ondo North has been clear — the people want a representative who listens, understands and delivers. Chief Michael Abayomi Adeyanju has answered that call.”
The group maintained that the growing support for Adeyanju among youths, community leaders and political stakeholders underscores public confidence in his vision for the district.
Ayodele further called on residents to unite behind the aspiration, stressing that collective support would be crucial in achieving meaningful development and effective representation.
He added that Adeyanju’s grassroots appeal and open-door approach to leadership positioned him as a credible contender for the senatorial seat.
Meanwhile, members of the Imole Progressive Network also celebrated the Secretary General of the group, Comrade Chris Olorunfemi, on his birthday anniversary.
The group described Olorunfemi as a committed grassroots mobiliser and ally of Adeyanju, praying for long life and continued service to the movement.
