The Victory Life Bible Church International (VLBC INT’L) has honoured the legacy of the late Reverend Fola Achudume with cash awards and skill training programmes aimed at fostering entrepreneurship.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the initiatives were announced during the conclusion of the church’s Youth on Fire Convention, tagged “Alive,” which saw an outpouring of spiritual fervour and leadership transitions.
Lead Pastor of VLBC INT’L, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, highlighted the event’s focus on youth entrepreneurship, reiterating the urgent need for young Nigerians to take control of their economic future.
“The future belongs to entrepreneurs, not employees,” he declared, emphasizing the importance of self-reliance through innovative thinking.
Apostle Achudume stated that his late wife’s vision was centered on equipping young people with both the skills and the resources necessary for success.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that as part of this vision, select youths were presented with cash awards in Reverend Fola Achudume’s memory, with others offered free training in fashion design and tailoring.
It was also reported that these initiatives serve as a continuation of Reverend Fola’s commitment to empowering the next generation.
“Her impact will be felt for generations to come,” Apostle Achudume remarked, reflecting on her enduring legacy.
The event took a deeply spiritual turn when Bishop Francis Wale Oke, President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), ordained David Achudume, the son of Apostle Lawrence and Reverend Fola, in a surprise ceremony.
The ordination, marked by thunderous applause and heartfelt praise from the congregation, symbolized the passing of a mantle of leadership and service to the younger Achudume.”David, you have been chosen to carry the mantle of your mother’s legacy,” Bishop Oke pronounced, with prophetic authority.
He praised David for his dedication and discipline, charging him to exceed his mother’s achievements and continue her work in empowering youths and spreading the gospel.
“Step up your relationship with God and build upon the foundations laid by your mother,” he added.
The solemn atmosphere was sealed with a benediction from Bishop Oke, who prayed for the Achudume family and the entire VLBC congregation, invoking blessings and divine favour.
“May Reverend Fola’s legacy continue to inspire and empower us all,” he prayed.
The convention shows the pivotal role of the church in shaping the future of Nigerian youths, blending spiritual guidance with practical empowerment.
