Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George has praised defender Stephen Manyo for his impressive performance against Katsina United.
Manyo had a standout performance for the Pride of Rivers in the goalless draw against Katsina United at the Muhammed Dikko Stadium on Sunday.
Finidi believed that the love shown to the player motivated his performance in the game.
DAILY POST recalls that Manyo joined Rivers United from Katsina United at the start of the 2024-25 campaign.
“He had a fantastic game,” Finidi stated to the club’s media.
“The love shown to him from the onset motivated him, and he didn’t want to lose against his former club.
“I commend him for that; it’s not easy to play against your former team and excel.”
