    NPFL: Rivers United held by El-Kanemi, Heartland stun Remo Stars

    Leaders Rivers United battled to a 1-1 draw against El-Kanemi Warriors at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, on Sunday.

    Sama’ila Bello stunned the hosts when he gave El-Kanemi Warriors the lead in the 30th minute.

    Finidi George’s side equalised through Taofeek Otaniyi three minutes later.

    Rivers United remain top of the log with 21 points from nine matches.




    In Owerri, Heartland recorded their second win of the season, courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Remo Stars.

    Afolayan Peters netted the decisive goal 19 minutes from time.
