Kennedy Boboye has left his post as Sunshine Stars head coach, DAILY POST reports.
Boboye submitted his resignation letter following the Owena Waves 1-0 defeat to Heartland at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Sunday.
The 50-year-old said he took the decision due to ending interference from the club’s management.
The former striker joined Sunshine Stars for a second stint last season.
Boboye helped the Akure club beat the drop following a troubled campaign.
He guided the club to 12 wins, seven draws and 11 defeats in 30 games during the second second stint.
Sunshine Stars currently occupy 14th position on the NPFL table with 13 points from 11 matches.
