In recognition of their outstanding contributions to community development and societal progress, Great Achiever Magazine is set to celebrate prominent sons and daughters of Ago-Iwoye with Excellence Awards.
The ceremony, according to a press release signed by the Publisher of Great Achiever Magazine, Yomi Ogunsanu, will hold on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Ago-Iwoye City Hall.The event is scheduled to commence at 12 noon.
Among the distinguished personalities to be honoured are Alhaji Mustapha Sola Bello, Giwa (Tpl) Wale Taiwo, Akorede Abdul-Lateef Odusanya, Otun Giwa Tajudeen Beckley Oyebanjo, Hon. Mrs. Fausat Juliet Paul, Omooba (Cmrd) Dr. Tosin Adeyemi, Asogbon Lebi Odunayo (popularly known as “My Choice”), Ayo Awobona, Kayode Adewale, and the Heritage Brothers Club.
In his statement, Ogunsanu highlighted that the awardees were selected for their significant achievements and unwavering dedication to the development of Ago-Iwoye and humanity at large.
He praised their selfless commitment to community service and societal betterment, noting that their backgrounds and track records demonstrate exceptional dedication to creating a positive impact.
“These individuals have taken on the challenge of community development and have remained steadfast in their mission to build a better society.
Their efforts deserve recognition not only to honour their achievements but also to inspire their peers and younger generations to emulate their contributions,” Ogunsanu said.
The event is expected to draw an array of distinguished guests, with His Royal Highness, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba, the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, serving as the Royal Father of the Day.
Other notable personalities include Maj. Gen. (Dr.) S.A Awosanya, Baba Oba of Ago-Iwoye and Founder of Aletheia University, who will chair the occasion. Alhaja Medinat Kazeem, the Iya Adinni of Ago-Iwoye, will serve as the Mother of the Day.
Special Guests of Honour expected at the ceremony are Comptroller Yekeen Ajibola Odusanya, Oluomo (Dr.) Femi Bakre, Aare (Dr.) Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem, Prince (Dr.) Feyisayo Soyewo MFR, Rt. Hon. Abdel-Majid Adesegun Adekoya, Olori Modupe Shotobi, and Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi, among others.
The event promises to be a celebration of excellence, community spirit, and inspiration as Ago-Iwoye comes together to honour its illustrious sons and daughters.
