Renowned human-interest news platform, Citizens Compass, has been nominated for Online Newspaper of the Year at the 19th edition of the Nigeria Media Nite Out Award (NMNA) 2025.
The prestigious media event, scheduled to hold on Sunday, November 26, 2025, at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, will celebrate outstanding performances across various categories in the Nigerian media industry.
In a letter to nominees, Convener and Chief Executive Officer of NMNA, Mr. Shola Olugbemiro, announced the commencement of public voting for all award categories, urging participants to mobilise their supporters.
“Voting for all nominated categories has officially commenced for the 19th Edition of the Nigeria Media Nite Out Award. You are encouraged to begin reaching out to your fans, colleagues, and supporters so that votes can start coming in for your category,” Olugbemiro stated.
Supporters can vote by sending an SMS to 0903 807 8413 with the entry format indicating the nominee and category.
Reacting to the nomination, Citizens Compass Publisher, Mrs. Bose Adelaja, expressed excitement and called on readers, colleagues, and media enthusiasts to vote massively for the platform to clinch the award.
Adelaja, a veteran journalist fondly known as “Mama Metro”, said the recognition reflects the platform’s dedication to credible, human-interest reporting and ethical journalism.
