Men of the Ogun State government security-owned outfit, known as So-Safe Corps, have arrested a three-man armed robbery syndicate, which specialises in burgling of warehouses.

The So-Safe Commander, Soji Ganzallo, said officers of the corps at Igere Post, during a routine patrol at 11:45p.m on June 4, 2023, accosted the suspects who allegedly burgled one Power Gas Company in Igere, Opic Estate, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state.

The Corps spokesman, Moruf Yusuf, said the three suspects are a 40-year-old Amachi John, a resident of 5, Imode Isibiri, Ijanikin, Lagos; a-41-year-old Moses Lazarus, living at 3, Jacob Street, Check Point, Badagry Expressway, Lagos and a 27-year-old Chidi Peter, a resident of Igere Ihunsa community, Opic Estate, where the company is situated.

The statement quoted Ganzallo to have said that the suspects were caught after they had successfully burgled the said company, stating that efforts were ongoing to arrest other members of the gang, who were presently at large.

He added that one cabin lorry marked SMK334XD, with an inscription, ‘Chijioke.’ on the front, assorted iron fibres, one aluminum door, and some iron pipes were recovered from the suspects.

Ganzallo said the suspects and the items recovered had been transferred to the Police in Agbara Area Command for further investigation and likely prosecution.
