The Chief Executive Officer of Pelican Valley Limited, Dr Babatunde Adeyemo has appealed to the government to provide access to fund for real estate entrepreneurs in the country
Dr. Adeyemo urged the government to provide access to funds with low and single-digit interest rates.
The award-winning CEO of Pellican Valley limited made this appeal in an interview.
Dr. Adeyemo, while highlighting the challenges real estate entrepreneurs are facing, said there are numerous challenges facing the sector.
He said “real estate is capital intensive and when there’s no access to funds, you don’t have it unless you add value and buy time, unfortunately, most real estate entrepreneurs don’t have such patience.
“What we have currently, can not be referred to as funding because when you get funds at double-digit interest rates, it affects the growth of the sector in the country.”
He however, advised the government to see an average real estate entrepreneur as a partner in progress towards the country’s development.”
