In a remarkable display of commitment to fostering educational excellence and empowering young talents, former Senator representing Ogun West, Senator Tolu Odebiyi’s Scholarship Foundation has extended its benevolent reach to 400 deserving beneficiaries.
The foundation, led by Sen. Tolu Odebiyi, CON, continues to be a beacon of hope for students hailing from the Ogun West Senatorial District, as it disburses bursaries in anticipation of the upcoming 2023/24 academic year in various public tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
The recipients of these bursaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Sen. Tolu Odebiyi, CON, the Patron of the foundation, for his unwavering support, which has significantly alleviated their financial burdens.
These young scholars eagerly anticipate realizing their academic dreams, thanks to the generous contributions of the foundation.
Sen. Odebiyi, driven by his passion for nurturing future leaders, affirmed the foundation’s commitment to molding responsible and productive citizens who will contribute positively to society.
Mrs. Folashade Odebiyi, the CEO of the Foundation, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to continue this vital initiative, emphasizing the importance of their dedicated partners.
One of the beneficiaries, Olubiyi Jesutofunmi Moyofanu from Sawonjo Yewa North, shared her personal appreciation, acknowledging the foundation’s support throughout her five-year academic journey at Olabisi Onabanjo University.
She also expressed gratitude for the gift of a laptop that enhanced her online learning experience.
Ganiyat Adedoyin Akinsanya, a student at Lagos State University, Ojo Lagos, praised Sen. Tolu Odebiyi, CON, for his exceptional love, care, and consistency, remarking on his unique dedication. She graciously received the bursary with heartfelt thanks.
Olusegun Ayodele Samuel, a beneficiary from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, extended his deepest appreciation to Sen.
Tolu Odebiyi (CON) for securing an internship opportunity at one of Nigeria’s top law firms. Samuel hailed Sen.
Odebiyi as a true angel sent from God and a beacon of hope in Nigerian politics.
Since its inception in 2019, the foundation has been actively shaping a generation of educated youths equipped with both knowledge and strong moral values, poised to propel Nigeria forward.
The TOD Scholars, as they are affectionately known, boast an impressive track record, with 68 graduates, including 14 first-class honors recipients.
Additionally, 20 graduates are currently serving the nation during their NYSC service year, while those who have completed their service have found employment in prestigious companies such as Flutterwave and Main One.
