In a stern address at the Passing out Parade of 332 Detective Assistant Course 4 Officers, Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulkarim Chukkol, emphasized the agency’s unwavering commitment to integrity and professionalism.

He cautioned the new cadets against corruption and indiscipline, asserting that the EFCC would not tolerate any violations of its code of conduct.

Chukkol urged the fresh recruits to remain dedicated to their profession, highlighting the importance of their role in combatting economic and financial crimes, which he described as a vital national service.

He underscored the years it takes to build a career in law enforcement while emphasizing the ease with which it can be jeopardized through indiscretion.

The EFCC chairman praised the comprehensive training provided to the cadets, encompassing legal studies, financial studies, operational studies, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

He also noted that they were familiarized with the agency’s policies and operational manual.

Chukkol commended the EFCC’s impactful efforts over the years, highlighting its role in transforming Nigeria’s image from a 419 hub and its significant contributions to the country’s economy.

He disclosed impressive conviction statistics and emphasized the agency’s dedication to its preventive mandate, including the launch of EFCC Radio 97.3 to enhance public engagement in the fight against corruption.
