In a historic move, the kingmakers of Idowa in Ogun State have unanimously selected Barrister Prince Sikiru Okuribido as the heir to the vacant Dagburewe stool.
Okuribido’s choice followed the demise of the late Dagburewe of Idowa, Oba Yinusa Oladele Adekoya who joined his ancestors on Sunday March 12, 2023 at the age of 87 .
Okuribido was chosen by the kingmakers eight months after the first monarch in the kingdom joined his ancestors.
Born into the Anowoneyo ruling house of Idowa in the sixties, Barrister Okuribido brings a wealth of education and experience to his new role.
A distinguished alumnus of the University of Lagos, Akoka, Barrister Okuribido holds a BSC (Hons) in Insurance, showcasing his commitment to academic excellence.
Furthermore, his legal prowess is evidenced by his LLB and BL degrees from the Council of Legal Education.
As a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK (FCII), and an associate member of the Nigeria Institute of Marketing, he has displayed a multifaceted approach to professional development.
Adding to his impressive academic achievements, Barrister Okuribido earned an MBA specializing in Marketing from Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho.
This diverse educational background positions him as a well-rounded and capable leader for the Idowa community.
Beyond his academic and professional achievements, Barrister Okuribido is renowned for his philanthropic endeavors, earning him respect both within and outside the community.
