In a shocking turn of events, Pastor Abiodun Oluwadare, popularly known as ‘Araina’ (thunder of fire), has been apprehended by the Ekiti State Police for the alleged murder of his pregnant wife, Tosin Oluwadare.
The incident, which occurred around 9 pm on November 19, 2023, has sent shockwaves through the community.
Sources close to the investigation reveal that the pastor is suspected of strangling his wife to death in what appears to be a ritualistic act.
According to witnesses, the man initially spun a different narrative, claiming that he found his wife lifeless in their home shortly after she refused his request for intimacy.
However, skepticism surrounds the pastor’s account, as a source familiar with the matter stated, “The man killed the wife, but he was telling us another story when the matter came to the fore.
He told us that when he arrived at his house that evening, he asked to have sex with his wife but left her when she refused. He said he came back to the room about five minutes later to find her dead.
Is this story plausible? No, it does not add up. Police investigation will reveal everything.”
Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu, confirmed the arrest and subsequent transfer of the suspect to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for thorough investigation.
Abutu assured the public that the police are diligently working to unravel the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
“The man was arrested, and the case has been transferred to the state CID. Investigation has since begun,” stated Abutu.
The community remains in shock and mourning as authorities delve into the details of this disturbing case.
The motive behind the alleged heinous act and the potential involvement of ritualistic practices will undoubtedly be closely examined as the investigation unfolds.
