In a startling revelation, the Rivers State Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force exposed a heinous crime during a press briefing on Monday.
A group of suspects was paraded for their alleged involvement in burying alive the Community Development Committee chairman of Kereken-Boue in the Khana Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects were presented to the public during the maiden briefing of the newly appointed Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu.

Commissioner of Police Tunji Disu issued a stern warning to criminal elements operating in the state, emphasizing that there would be no safe haven for them.
He assured that law enforcement would apply the full force of the law to curb criminal activities.
During the press briefing, the traditional ruler of Kereken-Boue community, Chief Ezekiel Gara, displayed disturbing photographs depicting some of the victims of the cultists.
Chief Gara highlighted the dire situation, revealing that members of the community had been forced to flee due to the activities of the cultists.
In addition to the buried-alive incident, the police displayed arms, ammunition, and other weapons recovered from the suspects upon their arrest.
