The Finance Minister and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Wale Edun, acknowledged the tough times Nigeria is currently facing but expressed confidence in the ability of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to steer the country towards recovery.

Edun, speaking alongside the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, highlighted the track record of Tinubu and himself in providing solutions to difficult challenges.

The ministers were honored by the Alake of Egbaland and other distinguished personalities for their nominations and appointments.

Addressing concerns about the economic situation, Edun urged Nigerians not to lose hope and emphasized Tinubu’s bold and courageous leadership.

He assured the public that the positive impact of Tinubu’s reforms would soon be felt, pointing to measures such as the removal of fuel subsidy and the adjustment of the exchange rate regime.

Edun highlighted specific interventions aimed at mitigating the challenges faced by ordinary citizens, including support for mass transit, conversion to CNG fuel buses, provision of food, grains, and financial assistance to small and medium-scale enterprises.

He stressed Tinubu’s commitment to limiting the impact of tough decisions on the general population.

The Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, echoed the need for innovative solutions to Nigeria’s challenges.

Pledging “intentional and deliberate” leadership, Tijani emphasized the crucial role of leaders in shaping society’s trajectory.

With a significant young population, he expressed a commitment to providing inspiration and direction for the nation’s youth, aligning with President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

Tijani concluded by reaffirming his dedication to delivering on the President’s mandate and contributing to building a nation that fosters prosperity and unity.

The event, attended by former governors, royalty, and other dignitaries, showcased a unified front among key figures in addressing the economic challenges and instilling confidence in the government’s ability to navigate through these tough times.
