The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the pricing details for expression of interest and nomination forms for the Edo State Governorship election scheduled for September 21.

According to the released schedule of activities on Monday night, the party has set the cost at N10 million for the expression of interest form and N40 million for the nomination form, totaling N50 million.

The primary election to select the party’s candidate for the polls is scheduled for February 17, with the primary election appeal slated for February 18.

The sale of forms will commence on Wednesday, January 10, and conclude on January 29 at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

In a notice signed by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, female and Persons Living with Disabilities (PWD) aspirants are exempted from purchasing the expression of interest form, and they can obtain the nomination form for free.

Additionally, youths aged 25 to 40 can avail a 50% discount on the nomination form when purchasing the expression of interest form.

Aspiring delegates for the primary election can obtain forms for N5,000 during the same timeline and venue as the governorship forms.

The deadline for the submission of completed Governorship nomination and expression of interest forms, along with accompanying documents, and delegate forms is set for February 5, 2024.

The released timetable also outlines key dates such as the screening of aspirants, delegate congress, publication of screening results, screening appeal, and delegate congress appeal.

The primary election is scheduled for February 17, 2024, followed by the primary election appeal on February 18, 2024.

The final list of nominated candidates will be published between March 4, 2024, and March 24, 2024, with campaign activities expected to commence on April 24, 2024.

The grand finale and final day of the campaign are set for September 19, 2024.
