The Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Ogun State chapter, has enthusiastically congratulated Governor Dapo Abiodun on his triumphant victory at the Supreme Court, affirming his success in the March 2023 Governorship Election.

The union, in a joint statement signed by Chairman Waidi Oloyede and Secretary Dr. Bolá Lawal, expressed deep felicitations and urged the governor to continue with commendable projects across the Gateway State.

The Supreme Court’s final verdict, delivered by a five-member Panel of Justices, resoundingly validated Governor Abiodun’s win, dismissing earlier challenges from the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate at both the Ogun Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.

This verdict, seen as a divine affirmation, underscores the overwhelming support of the people of Ogun State for Governor Abiodun’s leadership.

The statement commended the governor for his unbiased, selfless, and laudable projects during his first term in office and expressed confidence that his second term would bring further progress and satisfaction to the citizens of Ogun State.

The Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Ogun State Council, reiterated its unwavering support and loyalty to Governor Abiodun, emphasizing their faith in his God-given leadership.

Governor Abiodun’s leadership, described as amiable, compassionate, and reliably friendly, was acknowledged for its commitment to the well-being of Ogun State citizens, with special mention of the state’s pensioners.

The union humbly requested a meeting with the governor to celebrate this momentous achievement and expressed anticipation for a continued collaborative effort to achieve the governor’s clearly stated mantra: “Igbega lpinle Ogun, ajose gbogbo wa ni.”

As the governor embarks on his second term, the Nigeria Union of Pensioners extended heartfelt wishes for a fruitful, rewarding, and successful tenure, praying for the Almighty’s guidance in steering the ship of Ogun State to enviable heights.
