    In a shocking incident that unfolded in the quiet community of Ayede, Ogun Waterside local government area of Ogun State, a property dispute within the Oriyomi family took a gruesome turn, resulting in the tragic death of one of the siblings.

    Luku Oriyomi, the 5th born in a family of seven, confessed to brutally butchering his elder brother over their late father’s palm tree farm. 

    PLATFORM TIMES reports that the dispute had escalated over time, with allegations of threats and violence preceding the fatal incident.

    According to Luku Oriyomi, the tension had been building for about a year, during which his late brother, the second born, allegedly brandished a cutlass, threatening him.

    PLATFORM TIMES gathered that Luku, who had returned to the village after learning the trade of barbering, claimed that the threats intensified over the disputed inheritance.

    PLATFORM TIMES further gathered that on the fateful day, fueled by the influence of drugs, including weed and Ice, Luku reportedly carried out the brutal act, using a sharpened cutlass commonly taken to the farm.

    PLATFORM TIMES reports  that the  victim succumbed to injuries on the head and neck.

    Expressing remorse for his actions, Luku Oriyomi stated that he expects to face the consequences of his crime and willingly be taken away. 

    With the tragic event, the family is left in despair, and Luku, once hopeful for a share in the inheritance, now finds himself with nothing.

    Luku Oriyomi, a graduate of Comprehensive High School, Ayede, Ogun Waterside, awaits the legal proceedings that will determine the fate of a family torn apart by a deadly dispute over property.
