A Nigerian policeman was caught on camera hiding behind a wall while armed robbers targeted two commercial banks in Anyigba, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The heist, which began around 5 pm, involved indiscriminate shootings as the assailants made their escape with stolen money.
Despite the engagement between the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) operatives and the robbers in a gunfire exchange, the shocking footage revealed the armed policeman chose to hide behind a wall instead of confronting the criminals.
In response to the officer’s actions, a resident captured on the recording expressed disdain in Pidgin language, stating, “Dem de collect boys. See him head. Na to de hid. Nonsense.”
