    Ogun  Deputy Gov Assures  Of Govt’s Efforts To Alleviate Economic Hardship

    The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has affirmed the government’s commitment to mitigating the hardships experienced by its citizens.

    Speaking during the Salako Annual Family Ramadan Lecture/Tafsir, held at the Ota Recreation Club, Salako-Oyedele acknowledged the significant impact of galloping inflation and rising commodity prices on the populace.

     She assured the public that the present administration is fully aware of these hardships and is dedicated to providing relief measures.

    “The government is quite very aware of the plight of all in respect of our economic challenges.

     The government will, however, continue to live up to its responsibility by seeing to the welfare of its citizens,” stated Salako-Oyedele.

    As part of its efforts to alleviate the economic burden, the government will distribute food items to various mosques across the state during the month of Ramadan.

     Additionally, relief measures such as financial assistance to students, parents of pupils, and workers in the state are underway.

    Salako-Oyedele emphasized the significance of the annual lecture, which aims to provide spiritual guidance during Ramadan while fulfilling the tenets of Islam. 

    She urged Muslim faithful to observe the holy month with steadfastness, praying for the acceptance of all supplications.

    During the event, Senator Kamaldeen Odunsi emphasized the importance of unity in Aworiland, urging citizens not to allow politics to divide them. He also advocated for increased employment opportunities for unemployed youths in Ota and Ogun West.

    Dignitaries present at the event included Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Community Development, and Abdulganiu Bankole, Chairman League of Imam and Alfas Awori Chapter, among others.
