The political arena in Ogun State has witnessed a dramatic twist as the Chief Whip of the Ogun State House of Assembly,  Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju, suspended her Personal Assistant, Mr. Abdulganiu Jamiu, indefinitely.

PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the  decision was prompted by Abdulganiu’s involvement in a banner regarding the Senator representing Ogun West , Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, without proper authorization.

PLATFORM TIMES reports that Yayi has been desperately scrambling for the seat of governor in the next election year after Dapo Abiodun.

In a formal announcement, Hon. Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju clarified that she had not endorsed the banner associating with Yayi’s ambition, highlighting Mr. Abdulganiu’s unauthorized actions.

The suspension, effective immediately, underscores the gravity of the situation and the need for accountability within political circles.

Mr. Abdulganiu’s suspension has raised eyebrows and stirred speculation about the underlying motives behind the unauthorised banner.

Many observers have linked it to Senator Olamilekan Adeola’s  ambition, injecting an element of political intrigue into the unfolding saga.

PLATFORM TIMES further gathered that the  fallout from this incident has reverberated across Ogun State, with stakeholders closely monitoring the developments.

The statement read “ Suspension Notice of Mr Abdulganiu Jamiu

I hereby announce the suspension of Mr. Abdulganiu Jamiu, Personal Assistant to Hon. Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju, the Chief Whip of the Ogun State House of Assembly, indefinitely. This decision has been made in response to the banner regarding Senator Olamilekan Adeola.

I wish to categorically state that I did not authorize the banner, as Mr. Abdulganiu was acting without my permission.

As a result, Mr. Abdulganiu has been suspended from his duties effective immediately, pending further review of the situation.

Please note that you will be notified of the outcome of the investigation once it is completed.

    Signed.

    Hon. Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju Serifat,

Chief Whip, Ogun State House of Assembly
