Babcock University’s Coral Graduating Class of 2024 received an inspiring send-off during the recent “A Day with Stars” programme, where alumni and industry experts shared valuable insights on achieving success.
The event, a highlight of the graduation ceremony activities, focused on fostering a solution-oriented mindset among the new graduates.
The distinguished panel featured notable alumni and industry leaders, including Kayinsola Mba, Rita Bandoh, Mr. Ogra ‘Tega, Dr. Bode Oguntoke, Dr. Daniel Olugbenga, and Mr. Clemson Ayegbusi.
These experts emphasised the importance of courage, self-belief, motivation, and determination as key ingredients for success in any field.
Kayinsola Mba, a renowned business strategist, highlighted the necessity of trusting in one’s abilities and maintaining a positive outlook even in the face of challenges.
“Believe in yourself and the skills you’ve acquired. The world is full of opportunities for those who are willing to seek them out,” she advised.
Rita Bandoh, a successful entrepreneur, shared her journey, underscoring the role of perseverance and the willingness to adapt.
“Your degree is a foundation, but it doesn’t limit you. Explore your passions and be open to new experiences,” she encouraged the graduates.
Dr. Bode Oguntoke and Dr. Daniel Olugbenga both emphasized the significance of a strong network and the benefits of engaging with industry professionals.
They urged the students to leverage the connections made during their time at the university and to continually seek mentorship.
Mr. Clemson Ayegbusi, a tech innovator, stressed the importance of embracing change and being innovative.
He shared anecdotes from his career, illustrating how staying ahead of industry trends can lead to remarkable success.
President/Vice Chancellor Professor Ademola Tayo, in his address, urged the graduates to seize the unique opportunity provided by the “A Day with Stars” programme.
He emphasized the value of versatility, encouraging the students to explore various interests and not to confine themselves strictly to their degree paths.
“The sky is wide enough for everyone to shine without collision,” he remarked, inspiring the graduates to carve their own niche.
