The Elijah Thompson Caring Heart Foundation brought a much-needed lifeline to over 500 communities in Ogun State, offering free medical services to thousands of residents who have long grappled with inadequate healthcare.
The initiative, spearheaded by Dr. Elijah Olukorede Thompson, provided critical relief to those who have been struggling with various health challenges but lack the means to seek proper medical care.
The programme, held in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, was a beacon of hope for many who had almost given up on their health.
Residents like Salako Abayomi, the Asipa of Ifo, expressed immense gratitude for the initiative.
He said ” I am happy to see that those who arranged this programme and those who are sick are also able to benefit from it.
“ I am using this opportunity to pray for them. For what they have done for us, God will reward them handsomely. They won’t spend the rest of their lives in sickness.
“By God’s grace, this is a beneficial program for everyone, and I am very grateful to them on behalf of our town.”
The testimonies from the beneficiaries highlighted the profound impact of the free medical services.
Iya Afin Taiwo Owolabi, a resident of Ifo, spoke about the financial burdens that often prevent people from seeking healthcare.
He said “I am very happy with those who arranged this programme in our town, Ifo. Many people worry about the costs of going to the hospital, N5000, N10000.
Sometimes, just thinking about the hospital bills of N5,000 or N10,000 keeps people away from the hospital.
“This programme is a blessing, helping both the young and the old. We are truly grateful,” she shared.
“ We are truly grateful for this programme, helping both the old and young by providing them with medication. We are very thankful, and God will continue to bless each and every one of you.”

Oloye Olatunji Adebayo Francis, the Jagunmolu of Ifo, commended the foundation for addressing a critical need in the community.
He said “ I am the Jagunmolu of Ifo. Regarding this programme, I am very happy because it is a programme that many people have been waiting for.
“We see that it will have a lot of positive impacts on everyone. God will bless everyone who participated in making this program a success.
“They are giving everyone free medication without any charge. If more people were doing this, the death rate would reduce drastically because many people can’t afford their medication. God will strengthen them to do more.”

The Olu of Ifo, Samuel Oladipupo, was honoured with a free medical outreach organized by the Elijah Thompson Caring Heart Foundation in celebration of his birthday.
The event, convened by Dr. Elijah Olukorede Thompson, offered a range of healthcare services, including free medical check-ups, dental and optical exams, blood pressure monitoring, and other vital health screenings.
Over 500 community members benefited from the outreach, receiving free consultations and medications based on their medical results.
The Elijah Thompson Caring Heart Foundation, known for its extensive support to the needy, including educational assistance, business capital provision, medical aid, and shelter support, continues to demonstrate its commitment to humanitarian services in Ifo and beyond.

Dr. Elijah Thompson, a nursing professional with a remarkable career spanning several decades and continents, emphasized the importance of good health as the foundation for a prosperous life.
“A good health is the root of a good income. Eyes, for instance, are crucial; without them, life can be incredibly challenging. That’s why eye care is a key part of our work,” Dr. Thompson explained.
He added “this is not the first time the Elijah Thompson Caring Heart Foundation has brought such services to Ifo.
Dr. Thompson, who hails from Ibogun in Ogun State, assured the community of continued support. “This is my own town, and as an indigene, they should expect us at any time,” he said.

Omo-‘ba Dr. Elijah Olukorede Thomson, widely known as E.O.T., is a prominent figure in the fields of nursing, business, musicology, and community advocacy. His multifaceted career, spanning several decades and continents, reflects his deep commitment to improving the lives of others.
Born into the esteemed family of Rev. Dr. K.O. Thomson, JP, in Nigeria, Dr. Thomson’s early years were marked by a strong educational foundation. He began his primary education at United Anglican Primary School, Alapako Sogunje, in Ogun State, Nigeria, before advancing to secondary education at Lafro Grammar School in Lagos State. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he transferred to Ogba Grammar School and later completed his high school education at William V.S. Tubman High School in Liberia in 1988.
Dr. Thomson pursued higher education at the University of Liberia before returning to Nigeria during the Liberian civil war. He retook his SSCE examination and continued his studies at Osun State College of Education in Ilesha, where he specialized in teaching education and music. His teaching career began in Nigeria, where he taught at Camp David Academy and Kings and Queens College in Lagos.
Driven by a passion for healthcare, Dr. Thomson moved to the United States, where he transitioned into the nursing profession. He started as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) before committing to a full nursing program at Hanna Harrison Center for Career Education in Washington, DC. His clinical experiences during this time were honed at several prestigious medical facilities, including Howard University, setting the stage for his extensive nursing career.
In 2005, Dr. Thomson earned a doctoral fellowship from the Institute of Criminology and Strategic Studies (ICSS) in Ogun State, Nigeria, which further solidified his professional credentials. Since then, he has been a dedicated nursing practitioner, contributing significantly to healthcare in both the United States and Nigeria. His professional journey includes working with numerous healthcare organizations, and for the past four years, he has been a valued nursing staff member at Fayette Health and Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore, MD.
In 2007, Dr. Thomson founded ELIKORT INT’L, a company that provides logistics and medical transport solutions in the USA, while also shipping medical equipment and merchandise to Nigeria. Under his leadership, ELIKORT has expanded its services to include specialized transportation solutions for disabled individuals. His dedication to community service is evident in his involvement with medical missions in Anambra and Delta States, Nigeria, in collaboration with African Women Cancer Awareness.
Dr. Thomson’s influence extends beyond the healthcare sector. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of the Oodua Progressive Union (OPU) Program through strategic discussions with Aare Gani Adams, the 15th Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba Land. His contributions to the Cherubim and Seraphim Church are equally significant, having served as choir master and music director in both Nigeria and the USA. He currently serves as the Church Administrator for Cherubim and Seraphim Oke-Igbala Int’l in Lagos, Nigeria, a family-established church.
