Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has urged the defence chiefs to use the opportunity of their relocation to Sokoto to take out terrorist kingpin Bello Turji.

This is coming after Turji in a video clip challenged the Chief of Defence of Staff to capture him.

Sani in a post via his official X handle on Thursday, stated that Turji had posed himself as one who is ready for dialogue, noting that some people believed him.

He further pointed out that Turji lives by the sword and must be taken out in the interest of peace in the North West.

The post reads, “The terrorist Turji has survived over the years by portraying himself as one who is ready for dialogue and one who is out to fight other rival terrorist groups and sadly some people believed him.

“The relocation of the defence chiefs to Sokoto must take out Turji, Baleri, Dogo Gide and Alero in the interest of peace in the North West. Turji lives by the sword”.

DAILY POST recalls that Turji had imposed a N30 million levy on the residents of Zamfara State as compensation for the killing of his cows by soldiers.
