He listed the stakeholders of the law to include the lawyers who defended the defenceless in the court, the Nigerian police Force , the Nigeria Correctional centre and the state counsel in the Ministry of Justice, among others.
Also speaking, the President of the Centre for Legal Studies, Abuja, Prof. Yemi Akinseye George , SAN , hinted that Delta ACJ law 2022 incorporated everything that could not be put in the Federal ACJ Act , adding that Delta State template should be copied by other states and FCT.
While commending Delta State Government for supporting and actively promoting the passage of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law and the Administration of Civil Justice Law, he described the state’s model as the most dynamic and comprehensive.
He explained that the federal ACJ Act which he was part of those that drafted it could not put things that Delta State included in their own as a result of the fact that people were not willing to change.
In an interview with journalists, some participants, including a Chief Magistrate in the state, Fednand Isochukwu Dike said that the seminar would enable the stakeholders to have one mindset concerning the law.
They noted that the training was to sensitize them on the new law of Administration of Criminal Justice and Administration of Civil Justice, stressing that the law would regulate the justice system.
