Abuja-based lawyer and human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, has said that his law firm will award N1m each to three new lawyers who have personally handled pro bono cases in the area of human rights law.

Adeyanju, who announced this via an announcement sent to LEADERSHIP on Saturday, said the gesture was to mark his 45th birthday anniversary in March 2025.

LEADERSHIP reports that the next call to bar will take place in the next four months. Eligible persons are to submit the details of the cases they have handled to Adeyanju’s law firm with submission deadline put at Thursday, December 5, 2024.

The terse message by Adeyanju read: “In celebration of Deji Adeyanju’s 45th birthday, Deji Adeyanju and Partners will be awarding the sum of ₦1,000,000 (One Million Naira) each to three lawyers from the March 2024 Call to Bar Set who have personally handled pro bono cases in the area of human rights law.

“Eligible applicants are required to submit verifiable particulars of the cases handled, to info@dejiadeyanjuandpartners.com.”
