According to SCORENigeria, the NFF now want the German to take charge of the Super Eagles for the two games.

The 58-year-old was initially not open to the idea but accepted after he was prevailed on by top officials of the NFF.

Labbadia will now fly into Nigeria with his assistants for the matches and work with the provisional squad compiled by Eguavoen.
