A prominent member of the ruling All Progressive Congress and a leader of one of the 2023 Presidential Campaign Support Groups, Alhaji Abdulwahab Quadri, has called on all Nigerians, regardless of their political affiliations, ethnicity, or religion, to provide unwavering support to the newly inaugurated President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Vice President, Kassim Shettima, on successfully assuming office.

Quadri gave the charge in a statement issued by his media aide, Adejola Adeyemi Crown, on Tuesday, while he joined in congratulating Tinubu, and Shettima, on successfully assuming office.

He expressed confidence in Tinubu’s political and executive abilities, drawing from his track record as the former Governor of Lagos State, saying, “Tinubu-led administration will maintain high standards of governance and strive to improve the lives of Nigerians by delivering democratic benefits.”

He equally urged Nigerians to offer fervent prayers for the president’s endeavors to realize the policies and programs outlined in his campaign manifesto and inaugural address.

“I joined other World leaders and Nigerians to congratulate our new President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and His Vice President, Senator Kassim Shettima on their successful inauguration and assumption of office”.

“I am confident in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s political track records and his achievements as the builder of modern Lagos, during his administration as the Lagos State governor and I am optimistic that President Tinubu will not lower the standard of governance for the delivery of dividends of democracy to Nigerians”.

“I, therefore, call on Nigerians irrespective of political affiliation or religious beliefs to support and pray for the President Tinubu – led administration for maximum performance”. The statement reads

Quadri emphasized the need for Nigerians to have a clear understanding of the new President’s “no more subsidy” statement.

He assured that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government is genuinely committed to finding lasting solutions to the fuel crisis in the country.

The Chieftain issued a warning to economic saboteurs, particularly those involved in harmful and regressive activities within the petroleum products supply and distribution chain.

He urged them to cease their subversive actions that negatively impact the nation’s economy.

He said, “I am thereafter calling on Nigerians to show better understanding on the “no more subsidy” statement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his Inauguration on the 29th of May, 2023 at the Eagle Square, Abuja as it is a way to finding a  lasting solution to the lingering crisis in the petroleum sector”.

“I am however urging those economic saboteurs to desist by way of creating artificial scarcity that may affect the goodwill of this new government that is just less than a week old,(especially those in the petroleum products supply and distribution chain), as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will leave no stone unturned in a bid  to rescue Nigeria.”
