Two acting Chief Medical Directors have emerged for the three newly established National Orthopedic Hospitals. The yet-to-take-off federal health institutions were established and cited in Benin, Jos and Jalingo, in Edo, Plateau and Taraba states respectively. Zamfara  state Governor, Dauda Lawal has given his predecessor, Bello Matawalle,  five days ultimatum  to return vehicles allegedly taken away by officials of his administration. The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has faulted President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for removing fuel subsidy without providing palliatives . A woman whose identity had not been ascertained has reportedly stabbed a baby girl to death in Imo State. The suspect however blamed holy spirit for her action . She was reportedly  walked into a compound and stabbed the baby to death. The incident happened on  May 28, at Works Layout, Owerri, the state capital.
