The operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two women, who allegedly attempted to sell a nine-month-old baby. The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed the arrest via a statement issued on Saturday, May 27. Hundeyin said some residents and the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) foiled the crime on Friday, May 26. The National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control has destroyed fake, unwholesome, counterfeit and substandard goods/products worth over N4.2 billion in Awka, Anambra State capital. A coalition of registered Political Parties in Ogun State has warned the state governor against engaging cheap propaganda and rumor peddling against the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Oladipipo Adebutu . The parties also cautioned the Police against being used as an instrument to disrupt democracy in the State. No  fewer than 18 Nigerian lecturers have developed four prototype innovations to address the challenges of hunger, poverty, quality education, responsible consumption and production in the country. PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the prototypes were developed by lecturers from public higher institutions, under the Research for Impact (R4i), an initiative of Tertiary Education Trust Fund ,TETFund, in collaboration with Innov8 Hub. Former Minister of Petroleum resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke has told a federal high court in the Abuja division that cancer treatment made her stay away from the country since May 2015 . Diezani-Madueke told the court that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Attorney-General of the federation defamed her by claiming she is corrupt.
