The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed says the Federal Government has inaugurated the Advertising Offences Tribunal to deal with violations of the provisions of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria Act No. 23 of 2022. Faridat Ogundairo The Kano State Government has authorized the expenditure of N1.4 billion to cover examination fees for qualified Indigent students. The Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Muhammad Garba, disclosed this at a press briefing  held at the Government House in Kano after  the council meeting. The state’s Executive Council has approved the release of funds totaling N1,403,936,600 to sponsor 60,871 qualified indigent students from secondary schools for various examinations, including NECO, NABTEB, NBAIS, and SSCE. Aminat Gusanu The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has accused the Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Muhammed Matawalle, of embezzling a staggering 70 billion naira from the state treasury. Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 24-year-old pregnant woman, Abigail Eguta, for allegedly brutalising her seven-year-old nephew, identified as Sunday, for eating fish and failing to recite the English alphabet in Anambra State. The police arrested the woman following the complaints by her neighbours who took the victi to the office of the State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, on Tuesday. A 24-year-old Islamic teacher, Mosediq Toheeb, has been remanded by a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court for sexually assaulting a six-year-old pupil at an Arabic school. Magistrate Patrick Nwaka ordered that the cleric who was arraigned on two counts of sexual violation preferred against him by the state police command be remanded .
