The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, has declared that a reasonable amount of 70 per cent of teachers in the South-West region are not qualified. The TRCN added that a large number of the teachers in private schools in the region are not qualified . Aminat Gusanu Gunmen suspected to be Fulani bandits have kidnapped over 12 people, including a nine-year-old child, along the Afuze-Ihievbe-Auchi road in Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, between 6 and 7 pm, and was reported in a viral video. A driver, Sunday Tanko, on Thursday, appeared before a Kaduna Magistrates’ Court for alleged theft of his employer’s Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card and N750, 000. Thirty-four-year-old Tanko, who resides in Barnawa, Kaduna, is facing a count charge of stealing. He, however, pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Insp Chidi Leo, told the court that the defendant committed the offence from Jan. 23 to March 18.
