Gunmen on Tuesday evening abducted a former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Moruf Musa, at Ibiade, Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of the state. PLATFORM TIMES gathered that Musa, who served as Majority Leader of the Assembly between 2007 and 2011, was kidnapped at about 7pm while observing evening prayers inside a mosque located within his compound. A suspected Boko Haram member, Ibrahim Mohammed, has confessed that he was paid about N100,000 to participate in the Christmas Eve bombing of a mosque in Maiduguri, Borno State. Five worshippers were killed, while 32 others sustained injuries after a suicide bomber detonated an improvised explosive device inside a mosque at Gamboru Market on December 24.
