The Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday convicted Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on all seven counts of terrorism offences. The judge held that the evidence of the prosecution was uncontroverted, Kanu having failed to open his defence. The judge dismissed Kanu’s argument that the charges against him were invalid because they were based on the repealed Terrorism Prevention Act 2013. The Imole Progressive Network has announced a series of agricultural empowerment programmes targeted at farmers across the Ondo North Senatorial District, beginning November 28, 2025. The Nigerian Army has dismissed four frontline soldiers engaged in counter-insurgency operations in the North-East for allegedly disobeying standing orders. The dismissed personnel are Mukaila Mutari (22NA/88/10253), Isah Emmanuel (22NA/83/7262), Kolomo Alex (24NA/86/5151), and Ibrahim Musa (24NA/86/0885). The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has recorded 920 cases of gender-based violence involving male victims between November 2024 and November 2025, highlighting an increasing willingness among men to report abuse.
