The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board announced on Sunday that a female pilgrim from Nigeria has committed suicide in Madina.  According to Saudi Arabian authorities, the incident involved a pilgrim named Hajia Hawawu who reportedly jumped from the rooftop of her apartment. The tragic news was confirmed by Abdulsalam AbdulKabir, the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board, in a press release.  AbdulKabir also disclosed that another pilgrim from the state, Saliu Mohammed, passed away in Madina. The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has announced a significant breakthrough in the recovery of public funds, with N12.7 billion retrieved from a local supplier 21 years after an initial payment by the federal government.  The announcement was made during a press conference in Lagos on Friday, highlighting the ministry’s efforts under Adelabu’s leadership.
