Enoch Oyedibu  Oyo State has emerged as the state with the highest number of out-of-school children in the Southwest region of Nigeria, PLATFORM TIMES can report. Comparatively, other Southwest states fair better. In a remarkable display of humanitarian effort, over 2,000 indigenes and residents of  Ogun State  have received free medical care in commemoration of the one-year anniversary of the late Agura of Gbagura land, Oba Dr. Sabur Babajide Bakre.  The initiative was spearheaded by the Tobade Progressive Club, an indigenous organization dedicated to community service and improvement. A  16-year-old student of Nsukka High School, identified as Chikamso has been killed by unknown gunmen . The gunmen also reportedly  sexually molested his sister. A video seen  on Tuesday shows the lifeless body of the student lying on the floor with family members crying profusely. The late Chikamso, who hailed from Ukpata, in the Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, was reportedly killed while returning to Nsukka, where he was studying. In a disturbing and shocking incident, Habiba Ibrahim,a newly married woman, allegedly severed her husband’s manhood while he was asleep.  PLATFORM TIMES reports that the  incident has sent shockwaves through the community of Kudan, Kaduna State, where the couple resides. The victim, 49-year-old Salisu Idris, a motorcycle rider, experienced this horrific attack in the early hours of May 26, shortly after returning from morning prayers. The Police Force Headquarters in Abuja was plunged into mourning on Monday as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abubakar Muhammad Guri, of the Police Mobile Force (MPF), was found dead in his office at the Louis Edet House.  PLATFORM TIMES reports that Guri, who showed no prior signs of illness, reportedly slumped and died shortly after arriving at his office. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have temporarily suspended their industrial action.  The strike, initiated due to disagreements over a new minimum wage and a recent hike in electricity tariffs, has been halted for one week.  This decision was announced by TUC President Festus Osifo on Tuesday following an extraordinary joint national executive council (NEC) meeting held by both unions in Abuja. “A joint NEC meeting of TUC/NLC has approved to relax the industrial action for one week with immediate effect,” Osifo informed Channels Television.  He further mentioned that an official communique detailing the decision…
