The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a strong appeal to Igbo traders residing in Lagos State, urging them to reject a purported call for dialogue between Igbo and Yoruba communities.  The group asserts that this dialogue is a ploy to dissuade Igbo traders from moving their businesses back to the Southeast. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) announced on Monday that airstrikes conducted by the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji have killed more than 80 terrorists in Katsina State. The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the involvement of Zenith Bank staff following the robbery and shooting of a 55-year-old Russian woman, Angelina Gold.  The incident occurred on Friday, June 14, 2024, shortly after Gold withdrew $3,500 from a Zenith Bank Plc branch in Ikeja. A 500-level student at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Modupe Ayandare was found dead off-campus on Monday morning.  Ayandare, who was in the Department of Agronomy, was discovered hanging beside a church she had attended for a vigil service.
