The Nigeria Police Force has issued a stern warning, cautioning citizens to avoid engaging in same-sex marriage activities, emphasizing its illegality in the country.  In an official statement released on Thursday, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, highlighted the legal basis for this prohibition. In a landmark decision, Chief Judge Justice Dije Aboki of the Kano State High Court pronounced the death sentence by hanging for five members of a vigilance group.  The conviction stemmed from their involvement in the extrajudicial killing of 17-year-old Ahmed Musa. Thursday morning witnessed chaos at the Abbey Hostel in Ode Remo, a residence for students from Gateway ICT Polytechnic Saapade.  A fierce gun battle unfolded between the state police command operatives and four suspected robbers, resulting in the death of one assailant. In a bid to combat noise pollution, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has closed down another branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and six other establishments.
