A 28-year-old security guard, Sunday Joshua, has been sentenced to six months in prison by the Dei-dei Grade I Area Court in Abuja. Joshua pleaded guilty to charges of criminal breach of trust and theft, leading to his conviction. The presiding Judge, Saminu Suleiman, provided an alternative for Joshua to pay a fine of N100,000.  Additionally, he ordered the convict to compensate the complainant, Eyanohoure Kesiena, with the sum of N719,650. A  30-year-old businessman, Onyedikachi Ibe, was handed a two-month community service sentence by the Dei-dei Grade I Area Court in Abuja.  Operating from the Fruits Market, Zuba, Ibe pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property when he appeared before Judge Saminu Suleiman. The House of Representatives is set to probe the alleged N1.8 trillion tax owed to the Federal Government by Multichoice Group, the operator of DSTV and GoTV.
