Suspected smugglers  have launched a violent attack on Nigeria’s Customs Services (NCS) outstation in Yauri, Kebbi State, resulting in the retrieval of 29 bags of seized foreign rice amidst chaos and confrontation. The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the deaths of six officers and the disappearance of six others in Delta State following an ambush while investigating the disappearance of three colleagues. The Department of State Services (DSS) has stirred controversy in Osun State by summoning Olawale Rasheed, the spokesperson of Governor Ademola Adeleke, for investigation.  Rasheed is alleged to have been involved in the dissemination of fake news against Femi Oyetola, the son of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola. The Plateau Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) , has arrested seven persons suspected to have vandalised railway tracks and slippers in the state. In a devastating turn of events, tragedy struck the Federal University of Gashua (FUGA) in Yobe State as a fire engulfed a female hostel, claiming the life of a 300-level student from the Geography Department, Shamsiya Murtala.  The incident, which occurred on Saturday, also left three other students injured, though they have since been treated and discharged from the general hospital in Gashua. Daud Olatunji Amidst growing concerns over insecurity in Nigeria, a purported terrorists’ camp was reported to have  been uncovered  in Obada-Oko, Ewekoro local government area of Ogun State .  Reports indicate that the camp was allegedly operated by a group of Hausa individuals who harboured foreign nationals from Cameroon, Niger, and Togo.
