Fifteen suspected internet fraudsters were on Monday arrested by operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Benin City. The Commission said the suspects were arrested following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in computer-related fraud. The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, has expressed concern after available data indicated that deaths from road accidents surpassed killings by gunmen across Nigeria in September 2024.
