A Family Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Tuesday remanded a 76-year-old man, Akeem Muritala, in a correction centre for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Olabisi Ogunkanmi, ordered that the case file be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice. Ogunkanmi adjourned the case until October 23 for mention.
