Augsburg manager, Jess Thorup says Frank Onyeka is fully focused on the club’s next Bundesliga clash against Freiburg.
Onyeka returned late to Germany after the nightmare international experience with Nigeria early this week.
The defensive midfielder and his international teammates were held hostage at a remote airport in Libya for several hours following their arrival in the African country on Sunday for a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against the Mediterranean Knights.
Onyeka and his teammates boycotted the game and returned back to Nigeria on Monday evening
“He said it was crazy, 14, 16 hours without food or drink,” Thorup told sport1.
“He came back on Thursday morning. Everything is okay. He is fully focused on Freiburg,”
