In a commendable act of community development, Chief Dr. Mrs. Florence Mojisola Oni-Quadri, the Ibuso Aje of Egba land, has commenced the rehabilitation and grading of several roads within the Somorin-Alagbonmeta junction, Bajitas, Servation, Obadeyi, and surrounding areas of Hill-Top Ebamidupe Community Development Area (CDA) in Odeda Local Government, Ogun State.
The ongoing project, which falls under the Irepolere Ogunji Area Community Development Council (CDC), has been warmly received by residents.
According to Mr. Jiboku Oluseyi Ifeolu, the supervising manager of the project, the initiative was undertaken to ease the difficulties faced by community members due to the poor state of the roads.
Speaking on behalf of Chief Oni-Quadri, he stated, “This project is aimed at making life more meaningful for the people of Hill-Top Ebamidupe CDA during these challenging times in the country.”
Expressing gratitude on behalf of the community, the Gbegbaaje of Egba, Chief Mrs. Tejumade Adenekan-Bakre, lauded Chief Oni-Quadri for her philanthropic gesture.
“We deeply appreciate the Ibuso Aje of Egba for this initiative and pray for her continuous success and expansion beyond Egba land,” she said.
Similarly, Mrs. Adeoti Motunrayo Modinat, popularly known as Mama Africa, who serves as the chairman of Irepolere Ogunji Area CDC, highlighted another significant milestone for Chief Oni-Quadri.
She announced that the community leader will be honored as the Patroness of Irepolere Ogunji Area CDC in an investiture ceremony scheduled for tomorrow, December 17, 2024.
The historical event is set to take place at the open space in Iyanbu Land, starting at 12 p.m.
It promises to be a moment of celebration and recognition of Chief Oni-Quadri’s commitment to community upliftment.
